Neymar has dismissed claims that he could leave Barcelona, insisting last season was “his best” at the club.
Rumours emerged on Tuesday that Paris Saint-Germain were willing to match the Brazilian’s £193m release clause.
It has been claimed that Neymar is unhappy in Spain, and wishes to move to a club where he will be the main player.
The forward has been overshadowed by the presence of Lionel Messi ever since he joined in 2013, but he insists that he is happier than ever at the Nou Camp.
“The last one was my best season in Barcelona. I am very adapted to the city, the club and I am happy here. That is reflected on the performance of an athlete,” Neymar told Goal.
“It was the season where I felt more comfortable, even though we did not win the titles we would have wanted. We played great games and lived incredible moments.
“Now, we need to work for the 2017-18 season so it will be even more positive individually and as a group.”
